The Odyssey Digital Temperature Display provides a quick reference to the air temperature near the sensor inside the cooler. Tap the lid to view the current reading while preparing or checking the cooler during travel.

When to Check the Display

Check the reading after loading the BioGel Bottle and injection devices. After opening, loading, or repacking the cooler, allow the interior temperature to stabilize before checking the reading again.

Sealed Long-Life Battery

The display lid uses a sealed CR2450 battery with an expected service life of approximately 2 years under normal use.

The battery is not user-replaceable. The fully sealed design helps reduce moisture entry and protect the electronic components.

Up to 60 Hours of Cooling Support

The Odyssey Cooler provides up to 60 hours of cooling support under controlled test conditions when used with the Blue BioGel Bottle and Emergency Bottle.

Cooling Setup

• Blue BioGel Bottle: Provides the primary cooling support.
  
• Emergency Bottle: Used as part of the extended cooling setup to help increase total cooling duration.

1. Freeze the Blue BioGel Bottle

Place the Blue BioGel Bottle in a freezer at approximately −18°C / 0°F for 6–8 hours before use.

2. Prepare the Frozen BioGel Bottle

After removing it from the freezer, let it rest at room temperature for approximately 15–30 minutes, or rinse the outside under regular tap water for 30–60 seconds.

This helps moderate the surface temperature before packing.

3. Protect Your Injection Device

Place the injection pen or device inside the included protective pouch or use a suitable protective layer.

Avoid prolonged direct contact between the injection device and the frozen BioGel Bottle.

4. Load the Cooler

Place the prepared Blue BioGel Bottle and injection device inside the Odyssey Cooler. Make sure the device sits naturally without excessive pressure.

5. Close the Lid Securely

Tighten the lid fully and keep the cooler closed as much as possible during travel. Frequent or prolonged opening may reduce cooling duration.

6. Check the Digital Display

Tap the lid to view the air temperature near the sensor inside the cooler.

After opening, loading, or repacking the cooler, allow the interior temperature to stabilize before checking the display again.

7. Use the Emergency Bottle When Needed

For the extended cooling setup, prepare the Emergency Bottle according to the included instructions and place it inside the cooler.

Do not pour ice or water directly into the main cooler body.
