1–7 Pen Capacity Reference
Intercontinental BC-B003 provides a general 1–7 pen capacity reference for selected compatible injection devices.
Depending on the exact device dimensions and packing setup, BC-B003 can accommodate up to:
- 7 selected common insulin pens
- 5 selected multi-dose GLP-1 injection pens
- 2 selected wider injection devices
Actual fit depends on the exact device dimensions, shape, orientation, protective packaging, and BioGel placement.
For wider injection devices, packing orientation may also affect capacity. Some compatible wider devices may need to be positioned in opposite orientations to use the available internal space efficiently.
A medication brand name alone does not determine physical fit.

Up to 74H Cooling Support
DISONCARE Intercontinental BC-B003 uses passive cooling rather than powered refrigeration. It does not electrically regulate the internal chamber to a fixed temperature.
Under controlled testing, BC-B003 produced the following results:

Actual cooling duration and internal temperature vary with ambient conditions, BioGel preparation, device load, packing arrangement, starting temperature, and how often the cooler is opened.
“Up to 74H” does not mean the cooler remains within 2–8°C / 36–46°F for the full 74 hours.
Higher Capacity for Longer Travel
BC-B003 provides more internal capacity than Odyssey and BC-B002.

These numbers are capacity and controlled-test references, not guarantees that every combination of injection devices will fit or that every medication can remain within a specific temperature range for the stated maximum duration.
How to Prepare the Blue BioGel Freeze Pack
- Freeze the Blue BioGel Freeze Pack at approximately −18°C / 0°F for 6–8 hours, or until fully frozen.

After removing it from the freezer, either:
- leave it at room temperature for approximately 15–30 minutes; or
- rinse the outside under normal tap water for approximately 30–60 seconds.
- Place the prepared cooling component inside the cooler according to the product instructions.
- Use the protective packing supplied with your BC-B003 setup, original medication packaging when appropriate, or another suitable barrier.
- Avoid prolonged direct contact between the injection device and a freshly frozen BioGel surface.
This preparation helps moderate the initial surface temperature of the frozen cooling component. It does not guarantee that medication cannot freeze.
Why Include an Extra BioGel Freeze Pack?
The additional Blue BioGel Freeze Pack gives you another cooling component that can be prepared separately when your travel plan allows.
This may be useful for:
- preparing a cooling component for a return journey;
- longer stays where suitable freezer access is available;
- keeping another prepared BioGel component available as part of your travel setup.
The extra BioGel Freeze Pack does not automatically extend 74 hours to another fixed duration and should not be interpreted as doubling the cooler's tested cooling performance.
BC-B002 vs BC-B003
Both models belong to the Intercontinental Series, but they are designed for different capacity needs.
- BC-B002: 1–5 pen capacity reference, up to 60H cooling support, and a smaller overall body.
- BC-B003: 1–7 pen capacity reference, up to 74H cooling support, and more internal space for larger travel setups.
