DISONCARE Intercontinental BC-B002 Medication Travel Kit

Get more internal space for your travel cooling setup with the DISONCARE Intercontinental BC-B002 medication cooler and one additional Blue BioGel Freeze Pack.

This higher-capacity travel kit is designed for travelers who need more room than the Odyssey Series while still using a passive, non-electric cooling system. BC-B002 offers a general 1–5 pen capacity reference for selected compatible injection devices and up to 60 hours of cooling support under controlled test conditions.

Cooling container only. No insulin, medication, prescription drug, or injectable product is included or sold with this kit.

What's Included

1 × DISONCARE Intercontinental BC-B002 Medication Cooler Set
1 × Extra Blue BioGel Freeze Pack

The extra Blue BioGel Freeze Pack is included in addition to the standard packaged accessories supplied with the selected BC-B002 cooler.

Select your preferred Cooler Color from the available options before ordering.

Why Choose the BC-B002 Travel Kit?

BC-B002 is positioned between the compact Odyssey Series and the larger Intercontinental BC-B003.

It is a good option for travelers who need additional internal capacity without automatically moving to the largest DISONCARE hard cooler.

The additional Blue BioGel Freeze Pack gives you another cooling component that can be prepared separately when your travel plan allows, providing more flexibility for travel preparation or a return journey.

The extra BioGel Freeze Pack should not be interpreted as doubling the cooler's tested cooling duration or adding a fixed number of cooling hours.

1–5 Pen Capacity Reference

Intercontinental BC-B002 provides a general 1–5 pen capacity reference for selected compatible injection devices.

The exact number of devices that fit depends on their length, width, shape, protective packaging, orientation, and the complete packing arrangement.

Different injection devices can vary significantly in physical dimensions, even when they are used for medications within the same general category.

Do not force devices into the cooler to reach a stated capacity number.

Before ordering, check your exact device in the DISONCARE Medication Cooler Fit Guide.

BC-B002 Dimensions & Usable Space

Total Height: approximately 9.3 in / 23.5 cm
External Diameter: approximately 2.8 in / 7 cm
Usable Internal Height: approximately 7.1 in / 18 cm
Maximum Clearance Beside BioGel: approximately 1.4 in / 3.5 cm

The maximum clearance beside the BioGel should not be interpreted as a universal maximum injection-device diameter. Actual fit depends on the device shape, orientation, packaging, and complete packing setup.

Up to 60H Cooling Support

DISONCARE Intercontinental BC-B002 uses passive cooling rather than active refrigeration. It does not electrically regulate the cooler chamber to a fixed temperature.

Under controlled testing, BC-B002 produced the following results:

Ambient Temperature Approx. 2–8°C / 36–46°F Up to 2–25°C / 36–77°F
30°C / 86°F 32 Hours 60 Hours
35°C / 95°F 28 Hours 50 Hours
40°C / 104°F 26 Hours 48 Hours

Actual cooling duration and internal temperature vary with ambient conditions, BioGel preparation, device load, packing arrangement, starting temperature, and how often the cooler is opened.

“Up to 60H” does not mean the cooler remains within 2–8°C / 36–46°F for the full 60 hours.

More Space Than Odyssey

BC-B002 is designed for travelers who need more internal packing space than the Odyssey Series.

As a general series comparison:

  • Odyssey: Flexible 1–3 Pen Range
  • Intercontinental BC-B002: 1–5 Pen Range
  • Intercontinental BC-B003: 1–7 Pen Range

These capacity references do not guarantee that every combination of injection devices will fit. Always check the exact device dimensions and complete packing arrangement.

How to Prepare the Blue BioGel Freeze Pack

  1. Freeze the Blue BioGel Freeze Pack at approximately −18°C / 0°F for 6–8 hours, or until fully frozen.
  2. After removing it from the freezer, either:
    • leave it at room temperature for approximately 15–30 minutes; or
    • rinse the outside under normal tap water for approximately 30–60 seconds.
  3. Place the prepared cooling component inside the cooler according to the product instructions.
  4. Use the protective packing supplied with your existing BC-B002 setup, original medication packaging when appropriate, or another suitable barrier.
  5. Avoid prolonged direct contact between the injection device and a freshly frozen BioGel surface.

This preparation helps moderate the initial surface temperature of the frozen cooling component. It does not guarantee that medication cannot freeze.

Why Include an Extra BioGel Freeze Pack?

The additional Blue BioGel Freeze Pack gives you another cooling component that can be prepared separately when your travel plan allows.

This may be useful for:

  • preparing for a return journey;
  • travel where suitable freezer access is available;
  • keeping another BioGel cooling component available as part of your travel setup.

The extra BioGel Freeze Pack does not double the cooler's tested cooling duration and does not create a guaranteed number of additional cooling hours.

Designed for Longer Travel Days

The Intercontinental BC-B002 Travel Kit is designed for flights, road trips, commuting, longer travel days, hotel stays, and other periods away from reliable refrigeration.

DISONCARE coolers are designed for air travel, but they are not officially TSA-approved, TSA-certified, or endorsed by TSA. Medication, cooling components, and travel containers may be subject to airport security screening.

Choose Your Cooler Color

This travel kit is available with selected BC-B002 cooler color options. The additional Blue BioGel Freeze Pack remains the standard blue cooling component.
