DISONCARE Odyssey BC-B001 Medication Cooler
The DISONCARE Odyssey BC-B001 is a passive medication travel cooler with a Standard Lid, designed for carrying selected compatible injection devices during travel.
Its vacuum-insulated stainless-steel body works together with the prepared Blue BioGel Bottle to provide portable cooling support without electricity or active refrigeration.

Injection Device Fit & Capacity
Odyssey provides more usable carrying space than the compact Holiday Series while remaining portable for everyday and travel use.
Depending on the exact device dimensions and packing setup, Odyssey can accommodate:
- Up to 3 selected common insulin pens
- Up to 2 selected multi-dose GLP-1 injection pens
- Up to 1 selected wider injection device
Injection devices can vary significantly in length, width, diameter, cap design, and overall shape. The medication name alone does not determine physical fit.
For example, a multi-dose injection pen and a wider single-dose injection device may require very different amounts of internal space.

Cooling Performance & Test Conditions
Odyssey BC-B001 uses the prepared Blue BioGel Bottle together with vacuum-insulated stainless-steel construction to provide passive cooling support.
It does not electrically regulate the chamber to a fixed temperature.

Up to 60 hours does not mean the cooler remains between 2–8°C / 36–46°F for the full 60 hours. The stated maximum cooling duration includes the broader 2–25°C / 36–77°F test range under the stated conditions.
Actual cooling performance varies with ambient temperature, BioGel preparation, device load, packing arrangement, how often the cooler is opened, and other travel conditions.

Prepare the Blue BioGel Bottle
The Blue BioGel Bottle is the primary cooling component used with the Odyssey Series.
- Freeze the Blue BioGel Bottle at approximately −18°C / 0°F for 6–8 hours, or until fully frozen.

After removing it from the freezer, either:
- leave it at room temperature for approximately 15–30 minutes; or
- rinse the outside under normal tap water for approximately 30–60 seconds.
- Place the injection device in the included protective pouch, its original packaging when appropriate, or another suitable barrier.
- Avoid prolonged direct contact between the injection device and the freshly frozen BioGel Bottle.
This preparation helps moderate the initial surface temperature of the freshly frozen cooling component. It should not be interpreted as a guarantee that medication cannot freeze.
How to Pack the Odyssey BC-B001

Freeze the Blue BioGel Bottle.
Prepare it at approximately −18°C / 0°F for 6–8 hours. -
Prepare the BioGel before packing.
Leave it at room temperature for approximately 15–30 minutes or rinse the outside under normal tap water for approximately 30–60 seconds. -
Prepare your injection device.
Use the included protective pouch, original packaging when appropriate, or another suitable barrier. -
Load the cooler carefully.
Arrange the device and BioGel Bottle without forcing, bending, or compressing the injection device. -
Close the Standard Lid securely.
Confirm that the contents are positioned correctly before travel. -
Avoid unnecessary opening.
Frequent opening allows warmer outside air into the cooler and can reduce cooling duration.
Emergency Bottle
The Emergency Bottle can be used as part of the Odyssey extended cooling setup when needed.
It should not be interpreted as adding a fixed number of cooling hours to the Blue BioGel Bottle. Overall cooling performance depends on the complete cooling setup, ambient temperature, preparation, device load, packing arrangement, and travel conditions.
Never pour loose ice or water directly into the main stainless-steel cooler body.
Standard Lid
BC-B001 is the Standard Lid version of the Odyssey Series and does not include a built-in digital or mechanical temperature display.

The temperature-display versions provide a reference to the air temperature inside the cooler near the sensor or probe. They do not directly measure medication temperature, liquid temperature, or determine whether medication remains suitable for use.

Odyssey BC-B001, BC-B004, and BC-B006 share the same general cooler-body and capacity concept. The main difference is the lid:
