DISONCARE Odyssey Digital Medication Travel Kit

The Odyssey Digital Travel Kit is designed for travelers who want a flexible 1–3 pen capacity range, passive cooling support, and a quick reference to the air temperature inside the cooler near the lid sensor.

This bundle combines the flexible Odyssey cooler body with a Digital Temperature Display and one additional BioGel cooling component.
BC-B004 is designed for travelers who prefer seeing a digital reference to the air temperature inside the cooler rather than using a Standard Lid or Mechanical Dial.
The additional Blue BioGel Freeze Pack provides greater flexibility when preparing cooling components for travel, a return journey, or situations where another prepared BioGel component may be useful.
The extra BioGel Freeze Pack should not be interpreted as doubling the cooler's tested cooling duration. Actual cooling performance depends on ambient conditions, BioGel preparation, device load, packing arrangement, starting temperature, and how often the cooler is opened.
Flexible 1–3 Pen Capacity
Odyssey BC-B004 provides a flexible 1–3 pen capacity range for selected compatible injection devices.
Depending on the exact device dimensions and packing setup, Odyssey can accommodate up to:
- 3 selected common insulin pens
- 2 selected multi-dose GLP-1 injection pens
- 1 selected wider injection device
Capacity depends on the exact device shape, dimensions, protective packaging, and BioGel placement. A medication brand name alone does not determine physical fit.

Up to 60H Cooling Support
DISONCARE Odyssey is a passive medication travel cooler. It does not require electricity or active refrigeration while providing cooling support.
Under controlled testing, the Odyssey cooler produced the following results:

Actual cooling duration and internal temperature vary with ambient conditions, BioGel preparation, device load, packing arrangement, starting temperature, and how often the cooler is opened.
“Up to 60H” does not mean the cooler remains within 2–8°C / 36–46°F for the full 60 hours.
Digital Temperature Display
BC-B004 uses a Digital Temperature Display built into the lid.
Tap the lid to view a reference reading of the air temperature inside the cooler near the lid sensor.
The display does not directly measure:
- the medication itself;
- the liquid inside an injection device;
- the Blue BioGel Freeze Pack;
- every location inside the cooler chamber.
After opening, loading, or repacking the cooler, allow time for the interior air and display reading to stabilize before checking the temperature.
The temperature display provides reference information only. It does not actively regulate the cooler temperature or determine whether medication remains suitable for use.
Sealed Long-Life Battery
The BC-B004 Digital Temperature Display uses a sealed CR2450 battery designed for approximately 2 years of normal use.
The battery is not user-replaceable. The sealed design helps reduce moisture intrusion around the electronic components.
How to Prepare the Blue BioGel Freeze Pack
- Freeze the Blue BioGel Freeze Pack at approximately −18°C / 0°F for 6–8 hours, or until fully frozen.

After removing it from the freezer, either:
- leave it at room temperature for approximately 15–30 minutes; or
- rinse the outside under normal tap water for approximately 30–60 seconds.
- Place the prepared BioGel cooling component into the cooler according to the product instructions.
- Use the protective packing supplied with the BC-B004 cooler set, original medication packaging when appropriate, or another suitable barrier.
- Avoid prolonged direct contact between the injection device and a freshly frozen BioGel surface.
This preparation helps moderate the initial surface temperature of the frozen cooling component. It does not guarantee that medication cannot freeze.
Why Include an Extra BioGel Freeze Pack?
The additional Blue BioGel Freeze Pack gives you another cooling component that can be prepared separately when your travel plan allows.
It may be useful for:
- preparing for a return journey;
- stays where suitable freezer access is available;
- keeping another BioGel cooling component available as part of your travel setup.
The extra BioGel Freeze Pack does not create a fixed additional number of cooling hours and should not be interpreted as active refrigeration.
BC-B004 vs Other Odyssey Lid Options
Odyssey BC-B001, BC-B004, and BC-B006 share the same general cooler-body and capacity concept. The main difference is the lid configuration:
- BC-B001 — Standard Lid: no built-in temperature display.
- BC-B004 — Digital Temperature Display: provides a digital interior air-temperature reference near the lid sensor.
- BC-B006 — Mechanical Dial Temperature Display: provides a battery-free interior air-temperature reference using a mechanical dial and probe.
Choose BC-B004 if you prefer a quick numerical temperature reference while retaining the Odyssey 1–3 pen capacity concept and passive cooling setup.
