Which Injection Devices Are Covered by This Guide?

For example, DISONCARE fit references include selected Gonal-F 300 IU, 450 IU and 900 IU device formats.

When checking fertility injection-device fit:

• identify the exact dose and pen version;
• measure the device with the cap attached;
• include any protective pouch or sleeve you plan to use;
• check the quantity needed for the trip.

Do not assume different dose versions have identical external dimensions unless the exact device has been confirmed.

Hormone Injection Devices

Some hormone therapies use prefilled pen devices that can also be carried in compatible medication coolers when their dimensions match the available internal space.

The DISONCARE Odyssey Series provides more usable internal space than Holiday and can accommodate a wider range of selected injection-device formats.

Unlike common insulin pens, other injection devices can vary substantially in diameter. For this reason, Odyssey should not use one universal quantity for all biologic, fertility, hormone or auto-injector devices.

The same physical fit logic applies to:

These three Odyssey models mainly differ by lid configuration rather than core cooler-body capacity.

Intercontinental Fit for Other Injection Devices

The DISONCARE Intercontinental Series provides the most internal space in the current hard medication cooler range. It is the primary option to consider when Holiday or Odyssey does not provide enough room for the exact device or carrying quantity.

Intercontinental BC-B002

BC-B002 offers a 1–5 pen-size capacity range for selected compatible injection devices, but the maximum number should not be applied to every auto-injector or wider device.

Some larger device formats require individual fit checking. Examples that should be treated as larger devices — check fit before ordering include selected market versions of:

• Humira
• Skyrizi
• Genotropin GoQuick

Intercontinental BC-B003

BC-B003 provides the largest usable internal space in the current DISONCARE hard cooler range and should be considered when carrying larger injection devices or higher quantities of selected compatible devices.

Device-specific quantities should still be used rather than applying the overall 1–7 pen capacity to every injection format.

Example: Praluent Device Versions

Praluent is a useful example of why individual device versions should remain separate in a Fit Guide.

• Praluent 75 mg / 150 mg: listed together as one confirmed device-format entry with capacity reference ×4 in the current Intercontinental fit guide.

How to Check Whether Your Injection Device Fits

1. Identify the Exact Product and Device

Record the medication name, dose, device type and market version when possible. A prefilled syringe, pen and auto-injector sold for the same therapy may have very different external dimensions.

2. Measure the Full Length

Measure the injection device in the condition you plan to carry it, including the cap.

3. Measure the Widest Diameter

For many auto-injectors and biologic devices, width is more important than length when determining cooler fit.

4. Include Protective Packaging

A protective pouch, sleeve or other suitable barrier uses additional internal space. Your fit check should reflect the way you actually plan to pack the device.

5. Check the Quantity Needed

One wider auto-injector may occupy similar space to several slimmer pen-style devices. Do not use the maximum insulin-pen capacity as a substitute for device-specific fit.

6. Never Force the Lid Closed

The cooler should close naturally without excessive pressure on the injection device or lid. If the device does not fit comfortably with the cooling setup in place, choose a larger cooler.

Can I use the 1–3 or 1–7 pen capacity for any injection device?

No. Those numbers are general series size references. Wider auto-injectors and other injection devices can require substantially more space than common insulin pens.

Which DISONCARE cooler has the most internal space?

Intercontinental BC-B003 is the largest current DISONCARE hard medication cooler and is the first model to consider when higher capacity or additional space for wider injection devices is required.

Why are different doses of the same medication sometimes listed separately?

Different doses or product versions may use different device housings. If the external dimensions change, the number that fits in a cooler may also change. Praluent 75 / 150 mg and Praluent 300 mg are one example of why separate device-format entries can be necessary.
